David Klein

David has been registered to practice before the U.S.Patent and Trademark office since 1988 and a principal of RKL since 1995. David concentrates his intellectual property law practice on patent, trademark and copyright application preparation and prosecution, and intellectual property licensing. David assists clients in a wide variety of technologies, such as electrical and electronic systems, computer systems and software, medical devices and prosthetics, telecommunications, optics, mechanical devices, manufacturing technologies, vehicle propulsion systems and fuel cell technology. David’s intellectual property expertise also includes Design Patent Application preparation and prosecution. David’s career in law was preceded by sixteen years of experience as an electrical engineer, the majority of which was with the General Electric Company. He held engineering positions covering design and development, component and product testing, and developing solutions to production problems of consumer products. David received both Associate and BS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, a graduate degree in Medical Engineering from The George Washington University, and a Juris Doctor degree, Magna Cum Laude, from The University of Baltimore. In addition to the courts of the state of Maryland, David is admitted to practice before the Federal District Court of Maryland and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
